Toltec Sacred Journey Breathwork
Experiential – Somatic – Transformative
Reconnect with your Soul
Spiritually journey in the same way as the Toltec shamans by entraining to the rhythms of drums, rattles, and music by using the breath. Much like traveling to sacred places, this practice can be used to enter altered states of consciousness.
Toltec Sacred Journey breathwork is a highly experiential, somatic, and transformative process that inspires you to remember and reconnect with your soul.
With each inhale and exhale, you are invited to participate in an ancient healing ceremony. In this ceremony, you begin to release what no longer serves you, access your healer that lives within, and become the person you were born to be!
Using deep, connected, circular breath and evocative music, the breathwork ceremony invites you to breathe until your soul reveals what it wants you to know!

What to Bring
- An open heart
- Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothes

- Optional: Eye mask, blanket, pillow (we will have these, but some people prefer their own)
- Journal
When You Arrive
- You will be smudged, which is an ancient practice for clearing energy.
- The circle will already be set up, so you will quietly choose a seat in the circle.
- The facilitator(s) will introduce themselves and walk through the agreements for a safe container.
- We go around the circle and introduce ourselves.
- The facilitators will provide a breathwork tutorial either via video (in advance) or at the beginning of the circle.
The Breathwork
- You will start by lying on a cushion or pad with bolsters, pillows, and blankets to make you comfortable.
- You will wear an eye mask to block out visual stimulation.
- Your facilitator(s) will invite you to call in your helpers, guides, or ancestors, invite you to set an intention and put on your protection.
- They will then walk you into the breathwork with a short visualization and drumming, and single for you to begin the breathwork.
- The breathwork is a deep, circular breath with no pauses.
- The breathwork itself will last for 45-60 minutes.
- The facilitator will bring you out of the breathwork with drumming and gentle music.
- You will then have the opportunity to integrate through artwork or journaling.
- The group will come back together in a circle, and you will be invited to share, be witnessed, and integrate the potentially life-changing and often powerful experiences.
